About the Richmond Community Bail Fund (RCBF)

The Richmond Community Bail Fund formed in 2016 with a mission to post bail for everyone in Central Virginia who needs it in order to help them avoid the many immediate and collateral consequences of incarceration. We work toward the abolition of not just cash bail, but pretrial detention and supervision as well.

About the Client Support Coordinator Role

The RCBF Client Support Coordinator role was created to provide a more robust set of offerings to RCBF’s clients in both the more immediate post release phase and also to provide more support to them as they navigate their court processes. Re-entry and stabilization after incarceration can be a lengthy process, these services are a temporary aid to support immediate re-entry needs. However we do not provide ongoing case management and the duration of our support services ends once a client has completed their court process. The Client Support Coordinator’s role is to bottom line the execution of these supports for RCBF clients, setting expectations with clients about what we can and cannot offer, coordinating volunteers who are interested in engaging with client support and collaborate with our Finance and Operations manager to complete the administrative work associated with the programming.
